This course will outline the basic concepts and fundamentals of research. It provides an introductory overview directed at anyone willing to be involved in research, focusing on why and how research is carried out, the ethical side of research, and teaching the basic building blocks every researcher should be aware of.

Basic knowledge of types of research
The ethical and legal side of research, why is it important
How to do referencing, literature search, and write an abstract.
A good understanding of case reports and letter to the editors
Intended Audience:
This course is aimed at undergraduate medical students, with no prior knowledge of research, who require an understanding of research and want to conduct research projects but do not have access to an introduction to research course.
